i’ve reasoned with janice that part of me which feels a big disjuncture is the invisibility of something which is valuable to me. the secrecy of clandestine relationships because they don’t fit within the constraints of societal conventions is perhaps the most challenging aspect of this set up, not the set up itself.

it’s been such a long time since i’ve been able to feel like i can trust another individual again, or even be awe-stricken enough to want to do so. there’s beauty, intelligence, kindness and a tenderness which i’d never imagined i’d be able to encounter ever again, after such painful experiences, and am so happy and fortunate for the resilience developed thus far to pursue notions of togetherness once again, albeit one which is more respectful of the boundaries of my individuality, all things autistic considered. it feels surreal almost to have a set up like this…
