Vaccination Day


Yesterday morning, between my 1st period seniors and my 3rd period sophomores, I dashed off to the Convention Center to receive my second & final dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. As was the first experience, this was pretty hitchless, with the only waiting occurring afterwards where one is obliged to stay put for fifteen minutes in case of any immediate reaction.

While I waiting in my chair 6 feet from the nearest person, the pleasant middle-aged woman to my left was engaged by a young man in a wheelchair to her left. Autistic, he shouted that his name was Timmy and asked for her name. Susan.
