I am happy to say that the beta version of the Autism Advocacy Network is to be released soon. We have been working on security and functionality for the real-time chat which will be the first feature to be in beta. After that it will be the user pages for micro-blogging accessible from the primary community chat.
I think what excites me about this project is it’s a technological network platform and not an ideological one. So there is no dogma that dictates how one must think about themselves or autism. The technological aspect really is to network information and people.
There is a massive social search engine being developed and has been modeled just for the autism awareness and advocacy world. Create conversation about and like other online resources that have been crawled by the network infrastructure so that our community understands the opinions of one another. This without censorship of other people who express themselves civilly (abstract idea).
It’s been two years of work so far.

hi Nathan – I tried to email you using your autism candles address but it appears invalid. Thank you for re-posting my blog ‘parentingautism’. All the best,
