What grinds my gears? I have a very simple answer: people who brag about not working hard. These type of people infuriate me. While it does not have any impact on my life, I hate hearing how people downplay their bad grades or lack of effort by bragging about how little they try. It is especially infuriating when there’s such a simple solution: try harder. Not trying is definitely not something to brag about, yet it seems like people turn to bragging about how little they do to cover the fact that they are lazy. Some possible statements include “I didn’t do that assignment I just felt like sleeping early”, or “I failed that test because I didn’t even study one bit”.
